- 4 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper
- 4 tbsp of butter
- ¼ cup of honey
- 6 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp of cornstarch
- 2 tbsp of water
- Fresh parsley and lemon wedges for garnish
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper and place them on the prepared sheet.
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter and add the honey and garlic. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the garlic is soft and the honey is thickened.
Stir in the soy sauce and vinegar and cook for another 5 minutes, until slightly reduced.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add it to the saucepan and cook for another minute, stirring, until the sauce is smooth and glossy.
Spoon some of the sauce over each salmon fillet, reserving some for later. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is flaky and cooked through.
Transfer the salmon to a platter and drizzle with more sauce. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
