Chamomile and Lavender Iced Tea

Equipment

  • 1 Medium-sized saucepan
  • 1 Tea kettle or pot
  • 1 Large heatproof container
  • 1 Tea strainer or infuser
  • 1 Stirring spoon
  • 1 Refrigerator

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of water
  • 4 chamomile tea bags
  • 1 tbsp of dried lavender flowers
  • Honey or sweetener of choice, to taste (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh lavender sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a medium-sized saucepan.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chamomile tea bags and dried lavender flowers.
  • Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, fill a teapot or large heatproof container with ice cubes.
  • Once the steeping time is complete, remove the tea bags and strain the tea into the teapot or container with ice cubes.
  • Stir the tea gently to cool it down.
  • Add honey or sweetener of choice, if desired, and stir until dissolved.
  • Place the iced tea in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
  • When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour the chilled chamomile and lavender iced tea into the glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh lavender sprigs, if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the quantities of ingredients according to your taste preferences and desired consistency.
